18 inch doll clothes from old stuff!

My niece is really into her American Girl Doll and so I made this little outfit for her birthday. The shirt/dress was made from the top of an old t-shirt. I just snipped a little hole in the neck and fed some elastic through to gather it to doll sized. The skirt was made from the bottom of a jeans pant leg. The ladybug leggings were from one of my favorite pair of socks that were just a little too holey!! And the slipper boots where made from another worn out pair of socks.

Someone in Texas Loves Me!

Here's another outfit that I made from 2 thrift t-shirts. I replaced the existing yoke of the blue shirt with a purple one and sewed the purple sleeves on with elastic thread for a gathered, poofier look. The stretchy yoga-type pants were made from the purple t-shirt. Jo will be wearing this one proudly!!! We love our Texas family and friends!!

Dresses for Jo

The first dress I made from one of Grandad's old dress shirts. The emroidered cuff with his initials was turned into one of the little sleeves. The peasant dress was made from a sheet I found at the thrift store. The following sites were my inspirations for these dresses:
